Physics

The Department of Physics at Palanisamy College of Arts was established in 1993. The aim of
our department is imparting quality education in physics. The Department has rich tradition of
teaching and Research. Physics is one of the fields of knowledge that it can be used to studying
what are the concepts used in day today life things. Studying Physics develops scientific temper
and encourages students to innovate in diverse research and technical areas. Physics is the basic
science that underlies all of the physical sciences and influences most of the biological sciences.
It treats matter, energy and interactions at the fundamental level.

With an increasingly knowledge based economy and the continuing need for qualified manpower in basic sciences in general and “Physics” in particular, there is an umbrella of opportunities for Physics graduates. This programme provides an excellent background for a wide variety of careers in science, science-related and technological fields. With a team of dedicated faculty and substantial infrastructural facilities, we march towards Excellence!!
